Celebrating 10 Years of Social Buzzerfly

Ten years.

It's hard to believe that Social Buzzerfly has officially been around for a decade.

When I think back to where it all began, I can't help but smile.

I didn't have a fancy office, a team of employees, or investors backing me. I had a laptop, years of marketing experience, a passion for helping businesses grow, and a feeling that I was exactly where I was supposed to be.

I still remember the moment everything clicked.

It was like all the puzzle pieces suddenly came together. I wasn't wondering if I should start a business... I knew. There was a sense of clarity that I can't really explain. I knew this was what I was meant to do.

The name Social Buzzerfly came to me almost instantly. Then I searched to see if the domain name was available. It was.

Next came Facebook.

Then Instagram.

Everything was available.

It honestly felt like the stars had aligned.

I was excited.

I was a little nervous.

But mostly, I was ready.

And once I made the decision, I didn't wait. I started building Social Buzzerfly immediately.

Looking back now, I'm so glad I did.

More Than Social Media

When I started in 2016, social media looked completely different than it does today.

We've watched platforms evolve, algorithms change, short-form video explode, AI become part of everyday marketing, and new trends seem to appear overnight.

But through all of those changes, one thing has never changed:

People want to do business with people they know, like, and trust.

Over the years, I've learned that while marketing trends come and go, character doesn't.

Being dependable, communicating well, following through, and treating people with respect will always matter. Those are the values I've built Social Buzzerfly on, and they'll never change.

That's what Social Buzzerfly has always been about.

Yes, I create content.

Yes, I manage social media pages.

Yes, I help businesses show up consistently online.

But at the heart of it, I help businesses tell their story and build relationships with their community.

The Best Part Has Always Been the People

One of the greatest gifts these past ten years has been the people I've met along the way.

I've had the privilege of working with incredible local businesses, entrepreneurs, nonprofits, medical practices, family-owned companies, and organizations that genuinely care about serving others.

I've celebrated grand openings, anniversaries, ribbon cuttings, awards, milestones, and even difficult seasons alongside many of my clients.

Over time, clients have become friends.

That's something I never expected when I first started, but it's become one of my favorite parts of owning this business.

I Still Love What I Do

People sometimes ask if I ever get tired of social media.

The answer is easy.

Not at all.

Ten years later, I still love what I do.

Every business has its own personality.

Every client has a different story.

Every day gives me the opportunity to be creative while helping someone else's business grow.

There's nothing better than hearing:

"Someone found us because of our Facebook page."

"We got a new customer from that post."

"People keep complimenting how incredible our social media looks."

I never get tired of hearing those words because they remind me that the work I'm doing is making a real difference for the businesses I serve.

Those moments never get old.

Thank You

Social Buzzerfly wouldn't be here without the people who believed in me.

To every client who trusted me with their business...

To every person who referred me to a friend...

To everyone who has shared a post, left a recommendation, liked a photo, commented on my content, or simply cheered me on...

Thank you.

Supporting my small business has truly changed my life.

I'm incredibly grateful that I get to wake up every day and do work I genuinely enjoy while helping other small businesses succeed.

Here's to the Next Chapter

Ten years ago, I took a leap because I knew in my heart it was the right one.

I truly believe the Lord was guiding me, even though I couldn't see where the journey would lead.

Today, I feel that same excitement about what's ahead.

Marketing will continue to evolve. Social media will keep changing. New platforms and new tools will come along.

But helping businesses connect with people will never go out of style.

Thank you for being part of this journey... while it started with me, it wouldn't be what it is today without all of you.

Here's to the next ten years of helping businesses grow, building lasting relationships, and continuing to add the buzz to social media.

I can't wait to see what's next. 🐝
